I do have more than 75w per square foot. How far away do you think I should keep my 150w hps away. I just go off this chart, and put it at 8", but should I put them higher due to my small sq footage? It's only about 1.3 sq ft.

But is mine light bleach or nute burn.

I just don't understand how this guy had his 150w so far away and have stretching yet have better results than my light that is 8" away.

Is this bleaching, or nute burn. I guess my main question in this thread is: will the plant grow taller, in search of more light, in flower stage if I move the light away.

It just seems like they're slowing growth. Can't pin point why. Temps were a little high and raising the light did decrease the temps, but I raised it a lot. It's over a foot away now. I don't want to stress them in this crucial time.

I thought searching for heat signatures was deemed unreasonable search and is illegal.

If its small enough I just flush it.

I think SCRoG is an interesting approach and I think it would make more use of the light by utilizing the entire sq foot of the grow space. Would like to try it next I think.

Keep em low and wider, head space is usually the main issue. and to create more bud sites, increasing yield in theory. I've also read however certain strains can only produce so much no matter how they're grown. +1 on minnesota

So with this thread are we establishing that you can get the same results with LEDs as HPS, but only if you spend 4x and have 2x the watts.

I have a LSTed plant that has been in flower for about a month. I would like to remove some of the upper leaf matter to allow the HPS to provide more light to the lower main colas. Will this hurt the plant? I think it would stunt it for a couple days but will recover quickly.

They're actually not that similar. The one I listed is 50w while yours is only 13.8w. If you want you can buy 4 of them and get the same amount of power. But the power difference is big and noticeable. That's why the one I listed is $100 more. You get what you pay for.

I don't have room for T5s though, I wish I did. I only have a 16" x 12" foot space. But you just think screw it just run the HPS for vegging?
