I had the same problem using the wet paper towel method and went to the previously mentioned 'stick them right into the soil/medium' and then just kept it moist. Works like a charm and no chance of messing up the tap root on accident. Hope this helps. Peace.
why not try to give a little bit of grow nutes and see what happens. Kind of sounds to me like they are starving a little bit. Bet the new medium has little to no nutes in them and you have already exhausted them. Just a thought, Good Luck.
Depends on what medium your using. If your using soil that already has nutrients in it that will feed for a month then, if it were me, I would wait at least another 2 weeks before I nute them babies.

Oh, no doubt, 'kinda free' (i.e. nutes, medium, lights...) bud is always better than paying out the ass for it. Besides, first grow, I'm happy keeping them alive this long, lol.
