Has anyone taken this method of vegetating? If so what are the pros and cons?

I just recently purchased 400 watt HPS lights and a 400 watt metal halide conversion bulb. This is my first time growing indoor and I was just wondering if you could recommend a set- up that would most efficiently benefit my plants. Thank you.

I've just purchased Economy 400 Watt HPS / Metal Halide Grow Lights. This is my first time cultivating, so I was wondering if these lights were more than necessary for just 20 seeds. I plan on using a 4 ft x 3 ft closet. Thank you for your advise.

I live in Canada, and a decent ounce goes for about $150-170. I don't know how you get your ounces for $40, the bud is prolly shit.
