the tan wire is connected to the lamp cord or the ac cord ? the one the picture goes to the lamp socket

yeah it did happen to me one time, so i replace all the wall socket, and guess what, they look like 10years old now , not even a year. I will update all those light soon. i have melted cheap timers too , so no more if i dont have a good one. Really appreciate , have a good day

pretty sure i found the problem, i didnt check the voltage and assume it was on 120v, is there only 1 cable to switch . Thanks guys , i realize im a dummy I take out the tan wire with the black cap and put the 120v orange wire instead? thanks again , i will have a lot of question coming :)
