I actually tried looking for side lighting, but I can’t find anything as effecient and cheap as the Spiderfarmer.

Uhm.. never used it But i dont think this will eliminate the smell. Is your grow room/box sealed or ventilated? And what is the size of it? I just think its too little to do that big of a difference honestly, but i have never used it, so i really cant say.

As mentioned above, i would go with regular LED's instead of cfl. CFL gives a rly poor light spectrum. What is the dimensions of your box, and what is the cfm's of your pc fans? Also, i only see you fitting 1 plant in there, unless you do some crazy SOG 12/12 from seed or so.

I would be running fans 24/7 to manage temps and RH better, and avoid mold. But plants dont use CO2 when lights off, so its not as important.
