    6 clones different deficiency?

I use RO water under 5ppm. With a leaf temperature of 75° my VPD is fine 1.4kpa.. As I said, after the switch to coco and a fine tune adjustment, my plants have never looked better. Why would I change everything? I will say thanks for all the replies, I appreciate different opinions and ideas...

Using jacks in ro water under 5ppm. With a leaf temperature of 75°f my vpd is fine for mid ro late flower. Starting week 7. As I said my plants have never looked better after I made a slight adjustment. Why would I change everything? Thanks for all the ideas. I appreciate other opinions.

    6 clones different deficiency?

Just don't let yourself lock in to what it has to be. Watch and read what your plants are telling you and find a strategy to fix it. By raising or lower the ph a little can make a big difference in fighting deficiencies. That's what I have learned.

    6 clones different deficiency?

Understood.... I also like to let the ph fluctuate up and down a little. I feel like it keeps absorption of nutes more in balance.

    6 clones different deficiency?

3 gallon air pots. Water 1-2 times per day. Watering by hand, minimum 20% run off. Using, jacks so nute cost is reasonable so I water plenty. I know what everyone says, which I always followed. I trusted my instinct, raised my ph to 6.5 and my plants have never looked better. Calcium and...

    6 clones different deficiency?

I have been at this a little while now. Finally switched to dtw coco. Very pleased with the results compared to promix. Ok, I have six clones from the same mother. At the end of week 4, 3 of them showed calcium deficiency in some of the fan leaves, rusty yellowing in the margins. I adjusted the...

3 days on jack's 5-12-26 and the plants are loving it! Bye bye General Hydroponics forever

I just know what most people talk about when using coco. As I said I have not used coco yet and wanted someone with experience to chime in, so now you have. As you said, don't follow any 1 person's advice.

3 days on jack's 5-12-26 and the plants are loving it! Bye bye General Hydroponics forever

I am switching to coco soon and have always been told, NEVER plain water in coco. It strips the calcium and magnesium from the media. Hopefully someone with hands on experience will chime in?

    recommended ppfd range?

The way I understand it is they can't absorb more light than 1000 ppfd Without supplement co2. 1000 ppfd is maximum, not optimal? if all other environmental factors are perfect. If the vpd is off, poor air flow high or low temps, humidity levels, all afffect how much light they can absorb...

3 days on jack's 5-12-26 and the plants are loving it! Bye bye General Hydroponics forever

What happened with @jonnynobody? Did he get mad at someone or something and leave? Or did he get the boot due to his gruff attitude? His posts were usually a good read.

    Best Pumps for Drip Irrigation

I have been considering switching to top feed drip lines. So far, in hydro, I have only done ebb and flow with pumps in the bottom of a 55 gallon drum. I am curious what is the advantage of switching to an external pump vs 1 in bottom of the reservoir?

    Washing hydroton

I remove the root ball and shake out loose hydroton into a rubbermaid tub. Rinse in h20 and then I bake it in the oven at 400°f for 30 minutes to sterilize. Put in clean tubs and small dried out root pieces just crumble off in the tub.

Jacks 10-30-20 for the First Week of Bloom (no calcium)

I believe the op @plumsmooth is talking about the boost formula 10-30-20 for the 1st week of bloom?

Jacks 10-30-20 for the First Week of Bloom (no calcium)

It does not list any calcium in the analysis. The only info it gives about calcium it states "potential acidity: 417 lbs of calcium carbonate equivalent per ton" I do not know what that means.

    Jacks 3-2-1

This is the most plant available silica that I have found. It is expensive but you only use 0.3ml per gallon. I was introduced to the product by @PJ Diaz. He may have more info than me. To answer your basic questions, no it does not affect EC or PH. It does foam up the reservoir a little so...
