Hey Chronnie, sorry I missed replying to you, I went for the spider farmer, their warehouse is in my state, so I know I will get it quickly.

I wanted to thank you guys for all the great advice. Things are lining up. I'm waiting for the spider farmer 2000, as well as an ac infinity 6 inch exhaust. A little more than I wanted to spend, but these look like good choices. I'm gonna use 5 gal fabric bags, I was able to get the small ocean...

I actually have a blurple light, I bought, when I got my tent about three years ago. I've been looking for it, but it hasn't turned up yet. I will look into HLG, I've seen the name. I'm less worried about buying from well established chinese brands, if I'm buying directly from the company. They...

Thanks for pointing that out. One of the reasons the budget intrigues me are those deeper red diodes. I recently saw a video by Dr.Bugbee and he mentions these wavelengths being important.

I didn't get it until after I replied :) I'm sure I can't afford the best one either, but this is a lot of effort, and I don't want to be under powered. I'm also a real procrastinator, so decisions are tough.

I agree with you on the spider farmer, Doug. I like them a lot, but if I'm going up to $300. the Budget Grow light with more power also becomes attractive at $350.. Do you have an opinion of them? Thanks for the exhaust link, if I get a 4inch instead of 6 inch, the savings go to the light.

Thanks for sharing your data, HydroKid, that is very helpful. I'm starting to consider a 4 inch fan, now. Those lights have some very good reviews, but I'm leaning towards a fan less, quantum style design. Thanks for showing your set up.

I didn't say it was. I'm still trying to get some perspective on what's good, that's why I asked for input. I prefer dealing with companies in the USA, so their product is worth my attention.

I'm not against a diy, but if I went that way it will take forever to get going. The fans are a factor, that's why I'm interested in these lights without fans. I see so many reviews on the spider farmers, it looks like they give out a lot of test lights. I came across these guys, a little more...

Thanks for all the added info, chronnie. I am only at the point of checking them out. Knowing they don't use meanwell drivers would be a big strike against them.

Cool, sounds like lots of buds. I see auto pot is a watering system. I'll have to read the website.

That's what I was thinking, but I was figuring a 6 inch would be bigger than I need, so I could run it low.

Great price, but I gotta tell you, I'm a little nervous about buying chinese brands. They are notorious for cutting quality. How long have you had them?

I can understand the appeal of HPS, but a lot of factors make LEDs the best choice for me. The first is noise, HPS means a lot more fan. Second is economy, our rates are among the highest in the country, I'm constantly trying to conserve energy. Third is simplicity, as a beginner I want to...

Yes, the different watt numbers help make this even more confusing. Thanks for the fan and filter recommendation, I'll check them out!
