    Tiny colas (Light spectrum problem??)

Thank you everyone who replied. I read 27,000 to 54 000 lux is optimal for flowering with qb96 lighting. (That’s 400-800 ppfd) I couldn’t find anything else online about them. The outer parts of the plant fall to like 30,000. I didn’t sCrog this time and I kinda regret it. I’ll definitely try...

    Tiny colas (Light spectrum problem??)

@Nizza thanks for the input. I’ve definitely seen first hand how small buds can be more potent or dense than big buds. My autos get light a lot longer and stay in the 72F, where my photos drop to 65. The leaves aren’t warped, discolored, or smelly so I wouldn’t say she’s a stressed plant. It...

    Tiny colas (Light spectrum problem??)

@Jjgrow420 the wires make me uneasy too, only adjust them with lights off. QB96’s are very strong but very centered. @hotrodharley unfortunately I moved grow spaces and have no open air to exhaust the HPS’ heat, so I’m trying to make it work with the LEDs. @PadawanWarrior my autos grow nice...

    Tiny colas (Light spectrum problem??)

Hello, I’m using QB96’s to flower my plants. My autos absolutely love them, but my photos look like they could use some assistance. Attached is a cola of an untrained plant under 4 QB96’s with a HLG-480H-54 driver. The plants are very healthy looking and have a vast amount of trichomes, however...

Are these feminine or hermaphrodite seeds?

So the story is, this was my first time growing in a sCrog. In the grow tent was 10 females. Somehow while I was trimming them, a few plants I noticed were seeded. I never found any pollen sacs and it seems every node was a female bud. I’m guessing the high stress of the SCrog made a herme...

95% of pistils are brown, harvest time?

Day 111, 76 of flowering. I think she’s ready, she’s yellowing like I expected to see now, the pistils receded about 5 days ago. I’m going to use her sugar leaves for concentrates so I don’t want them too brittle by harvest. Her trichomes also have the amber tone Iwas looking for, on the calyx...

95% of pistils are brown, harvest time?

The pistils have retracted and the trichomes are looking ready. I’m cutting off all nutes and harvesting Friday. She’ll be 110 days old by then.

95% of pistils are brown, harvest time?

@Star Dog @Herb & Suds it’s hard for me to get trichome pictures of good quality because I have unsteady hands but this is her day 100. You can see the pistils emerging, so I’m fairly certain this is a picture of a calyx. She seems to have quite a few amber trichomes now. I think I’m safe to...

95% of pistils are brown, harvest time?

I appreciate the honesty. I believe it was a royal queen seeds article about harvest time. Generally I take word from good sources. I’m not being inpatient with the harvest, I was just confused because 1/3 plants had 100% pistils brown while the other 2 had time to go. I don’t mind harvesting a...

95% of pistils are brown, harvest time?

The pistils are falling off and scarce. She was fed pretty often, I don’t do one day flushes. I’m anticipating another 10 days before chopping. If her lower half is losing color I’m pretty sure that means I’m at the stage where roots don’t uptake as much, which would mean she’s pretty far along...

95% of pistils are brown, harvest time?

I know there’s environmental factors that effect the degradation, but I was informed you want to harvest when most trichomes are milky. You use the amber trichomes on the calyx as an indicator that it’s deteriorating just due to time. after I harvest I dry, and cure my plants in the dark.

95% of pistils are brown, harvest time?

If you read the thread you’d see the plant I’m asking about was well aged, described as matured early, and has 0 white pistils. I’m watching the calyx’s not the sugar leaves. If you read the comments you’d know I’ve been told about sugar leaves already a few times. This is my first Mephisto...

95% of pistils are brown, harvest time?

Thank you everyone who replied you were all very helpful. I’ll give her a little while longer and come back with pictures of the progress. @Bullmark that plant looks great. According to the breeders mine should’ve been ready December 26th, but it was definitely too early then. Patience is a...

95% of pistils are brown, harvest time?

It is only week 6 since first sign of pistil growth but I’ve had autos be ready in under 60 days before. They were from 2fast4buds and I think purposefully made to flower quick. It yielded a lot less. The pistils are brown but still wispy around the buds. I’m watching to see if calyx’s are...

95% of pistils are brown, harvest time?

I’m growing double grape by Mephisto and one of my plants seemed to mature quicker than the others. They’re both 86 days old from germination. My double grape #2 has about 60% brown pistils but some fattening up to do. My double grape #1 has almost 100% brown pistils, but the trichomes are all...

Both Fox Farms Trios and coco coir

Hello, I have fox farms “grow big, big bloom, and tiger bloom”. I also have Fox Farms “Open Sesame, beastie blooms, and Cha-Ching.” I’m growing in coco coir (dakine420). my question is about timing between the first and second trio . Can I use all 6? My last grow I used “Grow Big” during all of...

    2 week olds seem discolored

I fed them some cal-mag in addition to the micro nutes 3 days ago. The new growths look big and happy. One more day of letting it dry and they should be back to normal schedule. I fed the 3rd one 1/4th the recommended dose of cal-mag and she hasn’t shown any signs of stress yet. She’s one week...
