Thanks for that... I'm guessing that the plant just needs to be watched closely to avoid killing it with too much or too little nutrients. I've got the seeds so I wanted to try it... want to experience what the finished product tastes and feels like... never had it yet.
Appreciate the feedback... just concerned because every single article about Purple Urkle states that it requires specific nutrient feeding... just an example:
"Purple Urkle is generally considered a strain that novice growers should avoid. It requires lots of maintenance, and you must keep a...
Yep, just about everything that everyone has written here advice-wise is right... except the advice to use sativas.
Although everyone is different and can react differently to different strains, THC levels, etc... I can attest to the fact that sticking with indicas, and indica dominant...
Looking to see if anyone can share their list of nutrients and feeding schedule for a successful Purple Urkle grow? Everything I read just states that you have to be very careful with the nutrients you give this strain, yet never does anyone actually list just what those nutrients are and in...
I'm checking the trichomes every day now, they're all hazy now, and soon as I see some noticeable amount of amber ones I'll be harvesting. I'll snap some pics at that time and see what everyone's opinion is... will be curious.
Yep, I had to look up "foxtailing" to understand what that was lol... all of this is new to me ;) IDK, maybe the one cola is foxtailing a bit bcoz it sits higher than all of the rest and is closer to the light, but everything else looks normal. I compared against pics of other Blue Cheese and...
Took a closer look at the buds with a usb microscope and the trichomes are milky-ish... going to keep an eye on them every day, seems they are pretty close.
Temps were in the mid 70s inside the grow tent most of the time so the tent didn't get very hot. The leaves may look a bit clawed or foxtailed because I skipped a day longer on watering and they were a bit withered today. Just watered them a couple of hours before snapping the pics.
Okay... its been 2 weeks since I posted the question as to whether or not my first ever grow (Blue Cheese plants) were ready to harvest. Most everyone advised to wait at least 2 weeks, which I have ;) Mostly brown hairs now on almost all flowers, trichomes looking milky-ish from what I can see...
Here are some additional pics of buds and plants. I appreciate all of the comments and advise so far. Its great to have a community to ask questions so that things don't get totally screwed up.
I'll get some full plant shots later and post... thanks for comments so far. Leaves are starting the yellowing in places and lowers falling off... just trying to avoid waiting too long. Plant pics on the way.
Sorry for the newbie post but I think these babies are ready to go. Grew 2 Blue Cheese, I am going for a fair amount of amber trichomes, personal preference. Took photos today and the sugar leaves have a fair amount of amber on them, the flowers have less but they are still noticeable. Pretty...
