    Newbie Here

I started in hydro and eventually moved to soil with dry amendments for many reasons. DWC is very labor intensive, and like everyone else has said much less forgiving. I did three grows in DWC and was mildly successful. By my second soil grow I was producing weed better than I could buy. So in a...

    Barney's Farm- Runtz Muffins

I did pluck some balls off the lowers of the Runtz x Layer Cake now that you mention it. Maybe about 5-10. Never came back. It was the only plant I had going at the time in a 2x2 so I let it ride. Glad I did though, turned out nice.

    Someone please Help!!!

It sounds like you’re having a hard time finding a method that works for you and you’re doing too much guesswork. It took me a solid year to get a cure right. What worked for me was obviously getting the environment dialed in. Sounds like you have that part right on. I hang the whole plant. This...

    Romulan Genetics

Just chopped a Romulan Fermented. I only grew one and she was fairly finicky. If you make a mistake she’ll punish you for it, but the bud appears to have still come out pretty nice. Overwatered pretty good once at transplant and couldn’t bounce back. I’ll post some pics once she’s cured up, just...

    Kinda sick but kinda not

It looks pretty good, but only time will tell I suppose. Any tips on drying? I’ve read just about everything I can find on the subject. General consensus is trim large fan leaves and hang the plant for around 14 days. Then trim and jar. I’m worried I’ll fuck this part up again and end up with...

Yeah, they’re a little pointy at the tops of some colas. I’m not very experienced with fox tailing. Most of the pics of foxtails I’ve seen look kinda crazy. Temps were fine in the tent, but the LED was close and pretty powerful. Definitely could’ve been light stress.

Any advice on harvest time would be greatly appreciated. Trichomes are mostly cloudy and just a few amber. Some are still clear, or appear to be at least. It’s hard to tell. I have a jewelers loupe, but my hands are too shaky at 60x. Also, what’s everyone’s best dry, trim and cure techniques...

I’ll see what I can do about the temps. That’s good info about LED. Thanks

I don’t think so. Some of the tops of the colas look a little thin and pointy, but they don’t look like any foxtail pics I’ve seen online. I could be wrong though.

The only pic taken on chop day was the one on the kitchen table, but I do agree I was early to harvest last time.

Interesting. I’ve been doing everything I can to keep temps down and no higher than 77.

Yeah, I’ve never used soil. I went with DWC because I was already set up for it from last time. It was originally in a 5g tote, but I think it was getting root bound in the shallow Rez during the stretch so I switched her into the bucket. I’ve been wanting to try soil just to see the difference...

Yeah, here’s some pics. These were in a 4x4x7 tent in my garage, which isn’t air conditioned. Temps were way out of control, sometimes getting into the mid 90’s. I obviously had no idea that growing in the garage during summer was a terrible idea. I still have about 3oz of terrible...

Thanks for the reply. I’m a little paranoid about having the same issues as I did last grow with sub par final product. Of course I could’ve fucked something up during dry/cure. I didn’t know cool temps could cause leaf clawing.

Ah, I see I’m in the presence of cultured people. A true fan. Good eye, man.

Just joined this site a few days ago but I’ve been lurking for a while. I’ve learned a lot and I have to say this forum and others like it are a great resource. I have a single white widow from seedsman currently in her 7th week of flower. This is my second grow. She’s in a DWC 5g bucket in a...
