    Led bulb par test

My questions was not about using LEDs, more efficacy is better than fugative heat. Plants don't care about lumens(how bright something is) they care about photons how much energy in available to drive photosynthesis. So wouldn't a better measure of be your efficacy and knowing your PPF...

What ec do you all use with led

You can run your rooms warmer too, that helps off set the drop is leaf temperature

    Led bulb par test

why do you care about lumens/watt? What quantum meter were u suing to measure PPFD?

What ec do you all use with led

Keep your room hotter and check leaf temps regularly.

Finally got a few of my new leds up

Bro your setting up a professional grow in there, you should probably get a controller system to run everything for you! You should get a small RO system for your water line.

Need LED decision help from light nerds

Also they don't use an integrating sphere to test PPFD, which inflates numbers.

Need LED decision help from light nerds

This one looks good but might be a bit overkill if your just running a tent. This one takes a lot of power the hence the overkill. You can also ask them what diodes and batches they use in their lights, they should be able to tell you. But for the price it looks really good.

Test out the PPFD on the light and also see how much power its drawing. @ $200 you can't go wrong.

    hps to led problems

What this man said check the leaf temp on the gun first if its low, you can let ur rooms get a bit hotter but then it might affect the plants under HPS(we never do mixed rooms lighting, your essentially using to different processes) He is also right, 800-1100 is that sweet spot during...

    LED Tent Venting

Precisely they are more efficient at converting energy to photons rather than HID that push out more fugitive heat. So more watts are converted to photons than heat. Of course this can create the age old problem of the VPD issue(room temp not hot enough so leaf temp low = less transpiration)...

950 is the most I've gone to without supplementing C02. I have a grow that's testing out our lights now and got a bit of burn in the 950 range. Your crop is looking pretty good.

    4x8?

Winter is a killer for LEDs, in a room that's 24-26 during winter leaf temps drop as low as 22-33 then you are into that vicious VPD issue. Yeah if its getting that cold then running 28 is good. It's spring tho! We've been getting up to 20 these past couple of weeks!
