    Good question and I would say it's because it is respiration happening. Same as our bodies don't take on ambient temperature. These are my current readings.

    Raise to 80? Do you mean the plant temperature? My light is approximately 10" above the top and I'm running a PAR of around 1000, I think DLI is about 42.

    The low temp gets down to the lower 70's and tops out around 83. The top leaf temps stay around low 70's.
