    Crock Pot Canna Butter

Just to comment on feeding your dog pot food. It's not good at all for dogs. They get high alright but they also lose control of their extremities and their bladder. My dog accidentally ate some pot butter and he couldnt walk for 3 days. He laid in his bed and would get the shivers and was...

Best open-air fans for air circulation?

Has anyone had really good luck with any certain brand of fan? Fans just stop working well before too long. You know what i mean? The work well for a few months then they get gummed and stop working so well. I was thinking about buying a few of these...

Design Help, 2-1000's or 4-400's watts?

3 400's???? I'd do 2 600's before i did 3 400's. For the same amount of power, 600's would put out nearly 7% more light. Not to mention it'd be cheaper buyin two lights instead of 3. 1k's is the way to go though.

How often and at what age(s) do you transplant?

i dont think it's a system really. Pretty much it's a waste and doesn't work very well to have a huge pot with a small plant. So you start with a small pot and move to bigger ones as the plant gets bigger. The bigger you need the plant the more pots you go through. IMO you should transplant 1...

Design Help, 2-1000's or 4-400's watts?

The purpose of the light rail isnt only to extend coverage, it also helps keep the plants from developing a canopy. Moving the light gets light where there would otherwise be shadows.

    oops.....3 plants.....one pot....what do i do?

you'll have to cut the roots of the make plants out the best you can. If you chop the males and keep the roots the roots will rot keep the males you get seeds but no rot I'd chop the males and cut their roots away the best i can, then i'd add fresh soil where the root masses were removed.

Design Help, 2-1000's or 4-400's watts?

i agree with you that when comparing apples to apples 600w is more efficient. I'm just saying that the difference is negligible. When you're dealing with a newer/better ballast/lamp in the 1000. Then i'd say the 1000w is the more efficient lamp in the end.

Design Help, 2-1000's or 4-400's watts?

you quoted a book published over 7 years ago. I'm just saying that the difference between a quality ballast and a new bulb is more than 1.5 lumens per watt. If you'd go so far as comparing an electronic 1000w to a magnetic 600w then the 1k is def the winner. :cuss:

Design Help, 2-1000's or 4-400's watts?

yea but 1000's cover ALL the area 3x better. You can get a reflector to cover whatever area you have and not waste light. 145,000/1000= 145 lumens per watt 88,000/600= 146.6 lumens per watt I wouldn't necessarily say 600's are more efficient. I'd say it would come down to the quality and...

Design Help, 2-1000's or 4-400's watts?

why? 2 lights on a rail provides just as much coverage area, with WAY more lumens. 1000w Hortilux= 145,000 lumens 400w Hortilux= 55,000 The choice is easy.

Design Help, 2-1000's or 4-400's watts?

+1 Get a light rail and the add-a-lamp kit. One light mover will move both lights together.

    Where is the problem?

I dunno, seems like you're doing too much. KISS Just give it what it needs. Veg or flower fert. Decent grow medium. Enough light for space/amount of growth. Water when the soil is dry and the pot is light- i.e. MORE often as the plant/roots get bigger. IMO you're doing too much, adding too...

    wierd. good?

When you top the plant all of the other limbs are going to shoot up. The more the better pretty much.

    Quick clone question

Why? The plant will just revert back to veg right? It may not be as quick of a grower at first, but it will work. right?

    Reverting cutting back to veg?

Yea, that's why i am interested in cutting them up- they'd probably best be served as donors.

    Reverting cutting back to veg?

I have a few cuttings i took after putting the plant in flower. Are these plants more likely to hermie now they've reverted? I was thinking about taking more cuttings off them, but i don't want a bunch of hermie-prone plants. Thanks for any input bongsmilie

Fox Farm OF and the Fox farm nutes lineup!

Ocean Forest comes loaded with fertilizer. Like others have said you wont need to add any ferts for 3 weeks or so. Fox Farm also makes Happy Frog soil that doesnt come with ferts in it. It comes in bigger bags so it's cheaper too.
