Thanx peoples. I hear that if you let it veg too long, the buds won't be as good. Is there any truth to this other than the light issue?

    26w cfl, stealth, soil grow

Doc. You should check out Lowe's for your bulbs. You can get a 4 pack of Daylight CFL's (made by "brighter effects" or "bright effects") for around $11.00. They run at 6500K and put out 1300 lumen each. Save those 2700k's for your flowering. Get those bulbs as close as you can to the tops...

LTD's First Grow Log, CFL only

just out of curiosity, why the 2-2700k lights. I know somebody using the SAME set up but with only the 4-6500k. The plants are further along than yours by probably a couple weeks and are looking VERY healthy. Maybe you know something that I don't but I always heard to hold off on the 2700's...

    Harvest and curing

Does anybody know of a good, no, GREAT form of curing? I heard of up rooting the whole plant for a day then putting it in a paper bag for a few days. Is there a way that doesn't include killing the plant? Links are appreciated.bongsmilie

    organicide

I have been using this stuff. For one, it makes your growing enviroment smell like the inside of an old tackle box. And second, it just doesn't seem to work that great. I've had to re-apply a couple times now and the flies keep coming back. (i did start with a shitty soil but still...) I didn't...

I changed out that little seedling that was looking weak, (the one in the rectangle planter) and built a little grow box real quick (i used a hot water heater box I found and ran a dowel through it to hang my lights from. I removed the shields from my light fixtures so now I can fit all my...

    co2 trap

i know with LOTS of sugar and good brewers yeast (i forget the name), the fermentation trap gurgles pretty constantly showing alot of co2 being produced but I think my ventalation system will blow it out before the plants know that its there.

    co2 trap

When fermenting sugar and brewers yeast (or any yeast for that matter) co2 is created as a bi-product. Does anybody think making a batch and putting it in my grow enclosure will be benificial or just a waste of effort? How much co2 is needed to boost my plants?:hump:bongsmilie

    plant food

Does anybody have an opinion on "Miracle-Gro Organic Choice All Purpose Plant food"? it's 7-1-2 and says to just sprinkle on the top soil and water. I have a couple seedlings under CFL's that are ready to start a nute program. I'm on a paper thin budget so I'm hoping to use this stuff since I...

    ph vinegar

Does anybody have any opinion on using vinegar to adjust the ph of my water. After using 1 cap white vinegar to one gallon tap water it tests at 6.8-7.0; Before using it my water was about 8.0. :hump::hump::hump:
