Well, I tranplanted into bigger pots, lowered the light, and buried the stems.....

Problem is, I'm confused as to what to do at this point.

Well, I tranplanted into bigger pots, lowered the light, and buried the stems.....

I'm basically trying to "save" these now. They were stretched to no end because I had too many plants to start with. After growing for 45 days, they should be much bigger than they are, but just aren't taking off. I now only have 4 under a 400 W HPS, so I don't understand why they are...

Well, I tranplanted into bigger pots, lowered the light, and buried the stems.....

It was about a week ago that I transplanted them. So they may be too high in N, making them yellow? I put extra perlite in the soil. They are in 3.5 gallon pots. Should my watering schedule be about one gallon per pot per week? And should the 6-4-4 be used every time when watering?

Well, I tranplanted into bigger pots, lowered the light, and buried the stems.....

potting soil composed of hardwood fines, pine fines, sand, and perlite. Nutes I am using is a 24-8-16 mix PH level is 7. I can't figure out why they are looking bad now. Maybe it was the transplant, I don't know.

and the leaves are all yellow as hell now. Any ideas? Or is it just a little shock? The transplant was about 5 days ago.

Ludacris, I repotted, buried the stems and here are the pics.....

Based upon the extensiveness (or lack thereof) of the roots that I saw yesterday, I don't think they will have grown enough to be intertwined by the time I snip the males at the base. The plants are about 6 weeks old. I am gonna veg em out for about a week or so longer, then go to 12/12...

Ludacris, I repotted, buried the stems and here are the pics.....

This is an email reply I got from my friend who has his freakin' doctorate in agronomy & soils and grows his own. Now I am not saying any of you are wrong, but this was his reply when i asked him if those plants being in the same pots would damage the roots of the others: "I don't get it...

Damn, I started with too many then. Cause I will only be able to grow 6 max under that light. What the hell should I do now? Just pick the best 12 out of 24 and re-transplant? They were just tranplanted yesterday

So my idea of letting them grow for a week or so , then sex them, chop off the males and continue is not a good idea?

Ludacris, I repotted, buried the stems and here are the pics.....

I cannot go larger than a 4x4 area which is why I had to plant 4 of them to a pot. An agronomist friend of mine with a Doctorate (and grows his own) told me this was ok. They have been on a 18/6 cycle. Should I slightly bump it up to a 20/4 for maybe a week or so, then go to 12/12? I will...

Ludacris, I repotted, buried the stems and here are the pics.....

What I was going to do is let them grow another 2-3 weeks, sex them, cut the males and go from there.... Should end up with 4-5 good females to let go under that 400 W HPS. Is that not a good idea?

I need to know if my plants are ready to be sexed.....

Ok, regular soil it is. Is the 24-8-16 MG I am using ok? And should I continue using once I go to 12/12 or discontinue after they are flowering?

I need to know if my plants are ready to be sexed.....

Ok, I have decided to transplant into some much bigger pots. I have another question, though. The soil that I used to begin with was regular potting soil with no nutes because I figured I could add them myself and didn't want to burn the seedlings. Now that the plants are several weeks old, what...

I need to know if my plants are ready to be sexed.....

I am definitely going to transplant tomorrow and bury the stems up to the first set of leaves. You think switching to 24/0 is the best idea? 18/6 not enough?

what would be a normal yield with 6 good females under a 400w HPS?

I need to know if my plants are ready to be sexed.....

Thank you VERY much guys. I'm going to transplant them into some bigger pots and let them veg for a while longer. Is the 18-6 cycle I'm on right now ok?

I need to know if my plants are ready to be sexed.....

I think I have too many plants in there for the amount of light that I am using. If I sex them, re-pot them, weed out the males and only grow the best looking 4-5 plants under this 400 HPS do you think they are saveable?
