    Best LED on the market?

It's been awhile. I've grown old and the technology has advanced by light years in the near decade it has been since I have grown anything indoors. Back then there weren't any LED's worth getting. I suspect that has changed by now. I'm reading the other threads, of course, but if you...

OK ILL BE THE ONE TO SAY IT....FLOOMING! The latest craze in aerating your water

I don't have a separate reservoir. It's just one big box and that's it. I thought the movement of the water itself was enough? Or if not the movement of the water then the rippling of the surface... But it seems you are telling me that I still need some air-stones in there?

OK ILL BE THE ONE TO SAY IT....FLOOMING! The latest craze in aerating your water

Thanks for the response MBB. Another question, if I may (directed at whoever might have an answer). I was thinking of using a 1200GPH utility pump and having it suck water in from the bottom of one end of my reservoir and dump it back in at the top of the other end. Keeping in mind that...

OK ILL BE THE ONE TO SAY IT....FLOOMING! The latest craze in aerating your water

So all this time I have went through great expense and painstaking effort to make sure that every single plant had an airstone blowing bubbles directly under it with no good reason? I could just take a 6x4' DWC system (100+ gallons) and create a little waterfall on one end and the entire 100+...

THE Holy Grail of gnat control

Well, I have used DE before and it didn't work. And I spread a whole bag out all over the room. Really, everything was coated with it. I tried the mosquito dunks before as well. And even if you are telling me now that these bits have the same main ingredient, I just know they worked...

THE Holy Grail of gnat control

Just wanted to pass this on, as I would want someone to do the same for me. After years of frustration, I finally just accepted that gnats were only a problem I could control but never eliminate entirely. I tried everything I could think of, and then some. And nothing worked. As I was...

Are cockroaches harmful to marijuana plants?

Never thought I would say this, but for the 1st time I think I might be happy to have seen a roach. I have something growing in my roots (looks like gnat larvae: little black worms) and I have been picking them out one by one the last few days. Tonight I pulled a plant up and I saw a small...

Rock hard, gritty, brown growth speckles in my reservoir.

Perhaps this was a result of the Purple Max being added. it warns of rapid growth if you've got something bad growing in there already

Rock hard, gritty, brown growth speckles in my reservoir.

Heavy bass? These things were hard, like coral rock. They seemingly love the oxygen.

Rock hard, gritty, brown growth speckles in my reservoir.

I've been growing all sorts of things for a long time now, but I have never seen this before. I grow in a DWC system and use these rocks to weigh down my air hoses (never been a problem before, and I clean them well, so the rocks themselves are not likely the cause). Well, these little...

Timer malfunction, 24hrs of light mid-flower.

I was adjusting my light cycle by one hour, to account for the summer, and the "off time" somehow switched to the "on time" on the timer, so the light stayed on for 24 hours straight. I have two small systems in there, running on different schedules. The 1st is roughly 3 weeks into flower...

    The Truth about Hermaphrodites

Question: 2-1/2 weeks in and I notice that one of the faster developing girls had about 20 "balls" hanging on the lower branches. Actually, it was probably more like 40, but 20 of them looked pretty mature to me. I just went ahead and cut the whole damn plant down, cuz I don't want it seeding...

    humboldt county's bushmaster

Eh.. Looks like they stopped making Gravity as well, which was another fine product. Any replacement for that?

    humboldt county's bushmaster

Anyone know of a replacement product? I've used Bushmaster for years, but apparently HCO discontinued this wonderfully effective product. I am in desperate need of something that will control the vertical growth. There must be a similar product out there from some other company. Any ideas...

    Plywood Growbox?

It won't get wet. You can't tell from the picture, but I have 4 or 5 layers of resin on it and that stuff is used in aquariums, on boats, and in other applications with countless gallons of standing water. It is not water "restistent", it is 100% water proof. Water just beads off this stuff...

    Plywood Growbox?

Here are some pics and some questions: Pay no mind to the marks on the box, I have the wood sealed, those were just there to let me know where it was a bit thin and in need of a new layer. The resin I used works perfectly and I have a heavy coat of it applied. This box is 30" wide by 72"...

What's the best method to install sprayer heads into pvc?

Tip Drill a hole with a 5/32 or 11/4 bit.. then simply put your E-Z cloner sprayer in an 11mm socket that you attach to your drill. It fits in perfectly. Then you just screw it right on in. No need to wear out your thumbs or thread the hole. It goes in smooth and tight.

    Plywood Growbox?

Thanks, but seems you are talking about a grow ROOM not a grow box/system. I have my room set up. I built me a grow box out of wood though, rather than using those plastic storage bins that most people use.
