    Mother Plant

The general rule is you want at least 100watts per plant. If you are going to be using those style lights I would suggest LSTing your plant or hanging them vertical to make best use of the short range. I would personally have used a bunch of cfl's plugged into wall outlet adapters plugged into...

    Led Users Unite!

I have a 90watt ufo led grow light. Dual band, 660nm 460nm. I tested it with my friend's killowatt meter and the unit only draws 75 watts total. I am going to contact the store I purchased it from and bitch but I don't expect to get a replacement unit which actually draws the 90 watts it...

    Led light specs.

Hello everyone. I was hoping anyone out there using any brand of led lights could take pictures of their unit and possibly disassemble their units for everyone to see. I am doing the same thing with my 90w ufo. Im going to test the wattage at the wall and do reviews on these things and I would...

1st grow. Supernova led onyx and easyryder auto.

The whole thing about flushing them with 3x the water needed is only really done if you have salt buildups from unused nutrients. (with your next grow, you should do this every 3 feedings to prevent salt buildup which prevent your plant from absorbing water and nutrients.. ie...

1st grow. Supernova led onyx and easyryder auto.

Your plants seem to be doing pretty good. It is normal for the lower leaves to start to turn yellow near the end of it's flowering. While that ph level is dangerously low for growing with soil, I wouldn't worry to much about trying to adjust at this time because you are going to need to flush...

Could some UFO users please answer some questions for me? Watts?

I was looking for a ufo led light or a similar led light and I was wondering how much power the unit actually uses. I know they state 90 watts.. 1w x 90 led's = 90 But I also know transformers are not 100% efficient. If the unit itself did use 90watts at the outlet, that means after conversion...

142 Watt system - CFL LED Hybrid - Expectations?

Your plant is stretching quite a bit. I would suggest losing the cfl reflectors because the usable distance on cfl's is under 2 inches anyways. Lose the reflectors, move the bulbs in super close, no more than 2 inches away. Also since you are using very low wattage led's I suggest you move those...

1st Grow - CFL to LED

Dude, those cfl's and led lights are too far away For cfl alone you need atleast 100w of cfl's per plant, so in this situation probably 2 each plant. And those cfl's need to be no more than 2 inches away from the plant. Also, the cfl's put out most of their light on the sides, not the top...

Hi End LED LIGHTING! Stealth LED vs Penetrator?

I had just seen an SG602 at one the hydroponic stores where I live. That thing is effing BRIGHT! IT uses 2w reds and 3w blue's I believe. Before I looked at that one, I looked at a standard 300w 1w led light and this SG602 looked atleast twice as bright and twice the distance.

Skunk Indica - 6 weeks flowering

Here is a picture of the trichomes, this is the best shot I can get. I'm thinking about starting the flushing this week and cropping next week, Is that a good idea or should I let it flower and flush it next week?

Skunk Indica - 6 weeks flowering

No, the name of it is Skunk Indica but I wish I knew more about it. It smells a little bit, mainly when I brush up against it or move it, but it doesn't smell like skunk at all. The plant is soo sticky, the website says indoor flowering usually takes 6 - 8 weeks so its almost harvest time.

Skunk Indica - 6 weeks flowering

Hello everyone, this is my second time growing. I accidentally killed my first plant. I am growing some skunk Indica I got from the Vancouver Seed Bank. I am growing it in a 6" pot using Shultz potting soil and Advanced Nutrients. My grow box is a speaker box I found, and I am using 2...

    Is smoking marijuana morally wrong?

I consider myself agnostic but I will try to put your mind at ease. 1st: The bible says that god created everything on this earth. 2nd: The story about Adam and Eve eating an apple from the forbidden tree is a story about prohibition if I have ever heard. God prohibited Adam and Eve from...

Could anyone help me diagnose my plant?

This is my second attempt. With my first plant I didn't use the brita water filter to lower my ph. I used traight tap water. I also didn't use any additional nutrients with my last plant and that had the same issues. And yeah I only used 1/4 strength for inside plants.

Could anyone help me diagnose my plant?

The water comes out of the tap with a ph of 7. I use a brita water filter to clean and lower the ph level. I believe it sits around 6.2 - 6.4. I'm using Shultz potting soil. 0.08 - 0.12 - 0.08 I also started adding miracle grow 24 - 8 - 16 with micro nutrients a few weeks into the grow at 1/4...

Any suggestions on light placement?? i have a mess

What I would do is position your lights like I have them drawn in my pic. CFL's give off most of their light from the sides, and the light that is given off isn't too strong so its best to have them within a few inches of the leaves. Looking at the pic with the thermometer it seems your...
