Too Close To An Electrical Fire!!!!!!!!!!!

Cool thanks. An electrician checked that circuit before anything happened to that room so I assumed it was good. I got the gold standard of timers from hydro shop so I think I am good. You all helped me ease my mind while I am away. I hate being worried about my house and dog when I am not there.

Week 6 flower pics with leaf problem and question on Harvest time

Looks to me that you got some nutrient burn, but don't be alarmed, she still looks pretty healthy. Now that you know the threshold keep the nutrients at least 80% below what you administered. Judging from the photos you have another 3-4 weeks of flower b4 harvest. 420

Too Close To An Electrical Fire!!!!!!!!!!!

This electrical timer nearly went up in flames with a 1000W HPS on 110V. It occured 6 hours into the 12 hour cycle. Any ideas why? It is rated to 15Amps or 1750 watts and that was the only thing plugged into it. There are 2 lights and 2 timers on 2 seperate circuits so I check the heat of the...

1000 watt hps without air cooled fan.

Well it is getting cold outside and with the lights off in the day the room is down to 60. After 2 hours with both lights on without the fan the 1000 cubic foot room gets up to 90-95, which is good for co2 enriched environment. They are like two big heaters for sure.

1000 watt hps without air cooled fan.

Is it ok to not use the cooling fan on (2) 1000 watt hps in air cooled housing? In the summer it is on the whole time the lights are on to keep room temp around 90 but in winter with the fan off it keeps the room about the same. My only concern is getting the lamps too hot? Are they designed to...

Flush every week with h&g shooting powder?

I was just reading House and Garden's website and they instruct you to FLUSH EVERY WEEK whilst using Shooting Powder. Does this mean to flush once at end of week 6 then 7 then 8 before the big 3 day flush at harvest time? Thoughts?

ro water for flush out necessary?

master kush plants after 8 weeks in flower in an ebb and flow tray in rockwool cubes are ready to flush. Is it necessary to use ro water? I just ask because it takes a lot more water to get through that filter and I thought if I could get away with tap water for the flush I would be saving...

covering ebb and flow tray with plastic... good idea?

I was told to cover my 4x4 ebb and flow tray with plastic to hold in moisture and keep light from hitting the roots. The plants are in 4x4 rockwool sitting on top of coco mat. A friend told me this may cause the roots to not get enough oxygen... any thoughts on this? Would like to keep the...

Keeping the plants from falling... TIMBER!!!!!!!!!!!

I just hate walking in the room and having the biggest tree on her side. :( The big reason behind her fallings is the main stem really curves out of the rockwool at such a degree it off balances the whole plant. I will fair through it for now...

Keeping the plants from falling... TIMBER!!!!!!!!!!!

There are 6 plants measuring about 46" tall in a 4 x 4 foot hydro tray under a 1000 watt HPS that are about 4 weeks into flowering. Now that the buds are developing the weight seems to be pulling the plants down. One in particular keeps falling down. They are in 4 inch rockwool cubes and sitting...

how to block the light from light heat vent

I have a 1000 watt hps that is cooled by an inline 6" fan. The problem is the light is close to the exhaust window so a bunch of light shines onto my yard! How can I block the light without blocking too much air flow? I was thinking of stuffing some black foam into the inside of the window...any...

    co2 consumption

I got sold on a co2 controller for my grow room that turns on the exhaust fan when the humidity or temperature reaches a desired level and turns off the co2 at the same time. The problem is it is hard to predict how much co2 to pump into my 1000 sq ft room. I ran through a 50lb co2 tank in 2...
