I understand that. But it's only a 50 cfm difference. You would think some of that cigg smoke would've been scrubbed. Like I said it smelled like smoke was blown straight in my face. None of it was scrubbed.

So I need to lower the speed of my fan? Cuz like I said the cigg smell was really strong. Idk if lowering the speed is really going to do anything. Does the fan need to be running for a couple days for it to actually get the carbon filter to scrub good?

well i have to use the carbon filter cuz of the odor. and i should only have 1 bend in my ducting where the carbon filter attaches to the hood by ducting. the rest should be straight. besides when it goes vertical to get tp the attic. and i guess it would also be vertical when the light is low...
