    the power got shut off somehow last night while i was not at home.... the heater didnt kick back on when the power came back.... plants were at 55F and wilted when i got back:cuss: turned heat on them, got the room back to 80, they bounced back AND most of em put out another set by night fall.

    thats 100% correct. but, 6400K is also used well by plants, some growers even prefer it. i read somewhere, that 5500k is a more efficient part of the spectrum. so im wondering if using both would make it any better... here is the scale i found

    i picked up 4 26w 2700k CFLs today. all seeds but 6 have sprouted. after 3 to 4 days in the jiffy pellet greenhouse (haha), i moved them to the other one with no lid so the humidity doesnt stay high. still around 80 to 85 degrees but im having to turn my AC lower to compensate for the heat...
