I'm all for it. I started my current plant not being too serious about it in a setup almost exactly like that (look at my grow journal). You can always make changes during the grow as you encounter new things. Give it a shot!

I just cut off the set of leaves that looked the worst so the plant can concentrate energy in other areas. Probably going to top her below the dead new growth tomorrow unless something convinces me otherwise.

4 26w cfls per plant is a pretty good estimate. If you're doing multiple plants though, you probably don't need to add 4 for each one. For example, 8-10 cfls would be alright for 3 plants. But you can never have too much light. With cfls, keep the light about 2 inches from the plant unless...

Is that really a 100 watt CFL? I could be wrong but it looks like a 100 watt equivalent, which is really a 23-27 watt. Check the packaging. You'll want to get more of those if that's the case. And for less than a week of growing, don't get worried about that amount of growth.

Yea, I got all that under control. She is no longer in peril, but there is a lot of damage. I need to know if there is a way that I can counteract any of that damage. (cutting off leaves, topping, etc)
