the silvery contacts on cfl bulbs are made of solder you can solder your mains wires directly to these to avoid buying loads of sockets, i have done it and had no problems, make sure u have a good working fuse in your plug and be safe.

There are acouple of grows out there where they have grown with 70watts of leds and 70 watts of HPS and there really wasn't that much difference between them, considering the LED's cost much more than the HPS the only advantage going for LED growers is the energy efficiency...

they aren't 13watts per LED if that is what you are thinking :p #And if your doing this on price then deffo go for the HPS. They are much cheaper than the equivalent LEDs

If you want to get really dense buds use plenty of incandescents as close as you can to those little balls.

Something i notice on this forum a lot i that the grow journal usually goes dead just before people harvest. Probably because people can't escape their harvests couch lock.. I can't wait to find out how much it all weighs as I am planning on doing a pretty similar grow in the near future.

Nice man those are some sexy looking buds! when drying its not normally a good idea to point the fan directly at the buds, or else they dry to fat on the outside, well tats what i've read... you should just use the fan to bring air into the drying box i beleive
