yeah i did attempt to pass them off on a mate. no luck. my girlfriend is turning into my mum.
oh well.
cheers for all your advice along the way dude, it was fun while it lasted!
:)
THE END
well my parents had a little talk with me last night. the plants have had to go. my girlfriend even said she would break up with me if they didn't. nice eh?
so i'm off now to chuck 'em in the canal, or something.
thanks for all the input guys. sorry you had to see it end like this...
the one that was ill for a while is onlt about 10" tall but the other two are probably about 2'. bent over though. i think next time i'll use non-AF so I can control the height growth more.
:)
hey dude, all is looking good. whilst they're young though... a few things i had problems with and you could avoid:
- make sure you pH your feed to about 6
- better to overwater than underwater
other than that, all looks sweet. and i reckon 400W HPS will be perfect. hot though, so make sure...
cheers buddy! getting pretty excited too. not sure when to flush though...and just use water after that. any ideas? i think i might just start using water on the most ready one.
day 63: i had to relocate cuz i was stinking up the house. annoyed rents etc.
so some are looking nearly done. mainly the tops are nearly done and lower down areas are still looking fresh. will maybe harvest one in a week.
my dad has made me move 'em into the garage cuz they're stinking the house out! haha.
just gonna go hang the light in there then will post pics. they seem to be nearly ready on top but pretty 'white haired' lower down..
day 44: all systems go! the girls have stopped growing upwards and are most definitely growing outwards! they smell soooo nice. even my parents don't mind hahaha.
my friend recommended i tie them over a little to get even light coverage. and seeing as though the tops were heavily budding...
yo, i've been using grow for a while now (IONIC) and the plants have been flowering for about a week, perhaps more. when should i switch to grow, and then when should i add bloom?
plants are AF, growing in soil/perlite/vermiculite.
cheers!
cheers for the input guys, the unit does get quite warm because of the ballast being built into it. the thing has been about 9" away from the tops all day and with no burning. i have a small fan blowing directly under the light, see pic. not including the hood, the tops of the plants are now...
cheers guys! i am indeed a very happy man.
i think the stretching issue sorted itself out as the tops got closer to the light. the top of one plant is not probably just under a foot from the light and with no burning issues (ahem). i have a fan blowing into the plant/bulb midspace so presumably...
