Slow maturation of Buds under LED

I used a light meter , so I have that dialed in perfectly. I am getting great bud size and density...the trichomes look great and now I will tune my fans to get a higher temp.

Slow maturation of Buds under LED

One issue is that I didnt record my flowering dates which I have since started (again this was not a issue under hps so why would i start doing it). I would estimate that they are at 10 weeks at 40% brown pistils...they just wont finish. When I was growing under hps and they got to that point...

Slow maturation of Buds under LED

Ok having an issue I never had under HPS, the issue is that the buds are taking forever to finish. So far I switched to a shorter 10 hour light cycle , my next move will be to create a finishing area with all red and far red Cob chips. Anyone else have this problem?

Never tried an all blue...I wanna see what that turns out to be. When we were dealing with bulbs the problem was lumen output ...with cobs this is not as much of an issue. This technology is changing the game on what we can do and it also makes experimenting as difficult as turning a screwdriver.

An update for all those that care, I got the 5000k cob, all I can say it's a huge difference in trichome production after 7 days. My pineapple express went from dry to sticky. I use UV bulb, but I am thinking the combo of red and blue cct is the answer. It makes sense because with the input of...

I have 2 separate bloom areas , the first one I made with 3000-3500 CCT and the second was a mix of 3500 and 1/4 4000 ...so far the resin production with the additional bluer spectrum is killing it in resin production. So much that I have order some 5000k cobs for the all red bloom area.

Can't figure out exactly whats causing this.

But the good news is that I can create foxtailed high producing plants at will....without damaging the leaves.

Can't figure out exactly whats causing this.

So what happened is that it got hot...and I didn't turn it off....So with a hid grow I would have found out quick by leaf burn...due to the radiant heat emitted by the bulb causing leaf burn... But with led ...no leaf burn and the high canopy temps went on until....I freak on all the foxtailing.

Can't figure out exactly whats causing this.

Ok....I think I figured it out and learned something that I could use. It is a LED learning curve . Ok I used HPS for about 5 years and they emit radiant heat from the light source...too much actually. So when I switched to diy cob lighting there is no radiant heat from the light itself. So...
