Most likely your problem is caused by the ph of your water. My local water has a ph of 7 straight from the tap. After 24hrs of distilling the water then reads a ph of 8.5 +. This could be a higher or lower ph depending on where you live. Now i found the hard way that this leads to slowly locking...
