The a/c has a dehumidifier mode also. Could I just set it on dehumidify and control both temp & humidity?

If I put foil on my windows & some thick curtains, would that significantly reduce the heat in the room that my tent is in?

Thanks for your input inked. I need all the advice I can get before I put my ladies in a hot box lol. I intend on growing a few autoflower strains and want to get the best results possible with what supplies I have.

Thanks majek & highway. Should I put the a/c inside the tent? The room I have the tent in doesn't get much cooler than 85 degrees during the day (3:00 til about 7:00) and around 75 at night.

Ok, I have a 2x4x5 grow tent, 400 watt HPS (no cool tube; just a reflector), 2 6" inline fans, and another 6" inline fan / carbon filter combo. I've also got a 8,000 BTU portable a/c. I'm new to growing in tents and wanted to know what would be the best and most efficient way to set up my tent...
