I've got the same problem, I've finally narrowed it down, it is either Nitrogen deficiency or potasium (K) deficiency. Both cause yellowing of the tips, however Potasium deficiencies cause them to brown and curl on the ends as well, yours aren't doing that, mine are :( Anyways, I would suggest...

yeah my buddy who gave me the seeds started his like a week or two before me and hes got 400watts of those T5 lights, no ballast and no heat, his are 2.5-3 feet tall now and looking beautiful, my heat problem totally ruined my hopes for the extravagant HPS
