    Tent or no tent

What's the height of the room? Need to know that to determine the size of fans you need. And you want your exhaust fan to pull air through your carbon filter and out of the room.

    growzilla dual hood

No I ment ventilation as in cooling.. you obviously want to keep the CO2 in the room but that much light in that space will produce more heat than CO2 will compensate for. Ideally you want an air cooled hood.

Just your plants need a certain amount of CO2 to be able to use that much light effectively, and that much light also produces a lot of heat.

600 is perfect for 3x3. The 2x 400s is overkill IMO unless you're using CO2 and have proper ventilation.

    Plasma Lighting experience?

I did some research on LEPs (Light Emitting Plasmas) a while back and the light spectrum they produce is pretty impressive especially for vegetative but it lacks a bit in the red spectrum for flowering. The lights produce almost no heat and last like 3 times longer than HPS or MH. But they're...

    Ventilation setup design feedback

Okay good to know! Yeah I'm not too worried about heat, but if it becomes a problem when the room is full then I'll definitely add a 440 intake. I also have two 4 inch 70 CFM fan I could use to connect the two rooms.

    Ventilation setup design feedback

Okay thanks, yeah I'll just run the lights in a line with a 720 pulling through, then a separate 440 with carbon filter for exhaust. I'll try just passive intakes and see how it goes if not I'll add some intake fans.

    Ventilation setup design feedback

Okay, thanks oldschooltofu. So would you use a 440 CFM for carbon filter, 720 CFM for lights and then a 440 CFM for intake from veg room?

I have always been told it's better to pull the air through.. why do you say otherwise?

how to hide your grow tent in a rental

Make sure it's 100% light sealed, buy a muffler for fan if it's loud. Go with basement and pile boxes and stuff up around it.

    Ventilation setup design feedback

How big would the passive intake vents need to be if I didn't use an intake fan? Would it be better to use an intake fan with a DIY particle filter attached?

    Ventilation setup design feedback

I think I'd rather pull through, the hoods I have are pretty good quality and I have an unlimited supply of filament tape and tuck tape from work :) So I can always seal up if I notice anything

    Ventilation setup design feedback

Okay, thanks a lot MrMeanGreen and Keyman! Rep + for both :) I think I'll go with the 720 CFM for hoods and then just put down the extra money and buy 2x 440 CFM and a 440 carbon filter. I'll use passive air intakes to connect the veg and flower room and intake through the veg room like you...

So everything would work well if I took the 110 cfm out? and left the rest the same?

    Ventilation setup design feedback

Hey all, just wondering what the best way to set my ventilation up is. I have a 4' x 4' veg room (400 watt MH) and a 8' x 4' (2x 600 Watt HPS) flower room. The lights all have air cooled reflectors and I will be using a carbon filter. I was wondering if anyone has tried a similar setup to the...

No it isn't you want to be within a 10% range of the fan with your filter.

    Set 400 watt evsa

No problem, happy to help. I almost bought one similar to that but when I tried it out, it put out way too much heat, they're really designed for large scale grows with many lights and high ceilings, not to mention an industrial sized air conditioner. Windsurfer.
