    Hmm, Il have to try the vermiculite sometime as well! Well I checked the PH and found that the soil is slightly lower then I would like it so I have fixed that. The original set of spiked leaves are getting worse it seems but Il see when it gets more developed and see if the yellowing happens...

    Thanks for the help 2xM, I will check the ph but Iv got 10 seedlings at the moment and none of the others are showing any sign of this. I always stick my finger in the soil fairly deep to check the moisture before watering, Iv done a couple grows in my time so basic stuff like that Im not too...

    Hey, the top layer is just potting mix so I could put my germinated seeds in. Underneath that is a mixture of vermiculate, potting mix, worm castings, bit of blood and bone, lime and some slow release fert. The mix has really good drainage so I'm not really worried about root rot.
