GH is great, they are just known for some salt build-up but just don't over do it and your good. maybe run a mild blend of Clearex every so often

the big bloom would be the one that would clog the misters, try Earth Juice Microblast instead.

the ppm meter measures the strength of the nutes, now ask your self 'Do I need to know how strong my nutes are?" the answer for most people is yes. after one burns their plants, they are more likley to purchase a ppm meter. that said, $130 is twice as much as you need to spend.
