I would say yes if they are the right spectrum. You are looking for the ones that put off more of a blue light than an orange.

Hi I am new to all of this and was wondering if one could use organic honey or just plain syrup in substitute to using molasses? And how well the molasses or if possible other substitutes work? Also how do most go about applying? Just mix in with normal watering or does it need to be applied...

Yeah what medgrower is saying... It can be somewhat of a good sign showing that you have roots developed and the plant is about to need some nutes At least from my experience.
