I would do the exact opposit. Leave the flowering plants under the 1000watt light on a timer set at 12/12. Then remove the vegging plants each day before lights out and place them under a small desk light cfl for a few more hours to keep them in veg

Never heard of Canna Start but Canna is a leader in the industry so i would trust that it will be fine.As far as your lighting goes just set your lights as high as you can until your seeds sprout and then move them down a bit each day.Hpe this helps
