I stopped using my homemade spray about 4-5 days ago, we will see if it helps. These are outside growing. Other than that the plant still looks healthy.
Dug up 1 plant and it had a parasitic small vine growing in the roots to the base of the stem. Since removing the little bastard the plant has turned around. The stem was hard and brownish colored. Now from about half way up the stem, it is green an healthy looking. Crazy.
Why only in the new growth? That doesn't really add up to me. I have been adding a little homemade bug deterent containing tobacco juices, garlic, black pepper, and a little ivory hand soap all mixed together. Could that have triggered it?
This has been growing in midwest sandy loam for about 3-4 mos. Was healthy until about a week ago. Now all new growth is experiencing this brown/red splotching. Invader?
