PICO's DIY Thread - Advise, Ideas and Technology - NO PANEL REPS!

With my HP power supply. The BIAS knob pops out and inside is a time delay fuse. Replaced that and everything works again. I feel comfortable that the power supply is 100% working again. I will work on getting some leds now. I am still undecided with the Vero 29 or 18. I only lean towards the...

PICO's DIY Thread - Advise, Ideas and Technology - NO PANEL REPS!

Pulling items over from the other thread for reference. Right now I feel I need to get the fan replaced before I go any further. I turned the power supply on again just to show my friend how it worked and it no longer made any noise. The line light was on. So I know power was going to it. My...

    Bridgelux Vero 29 LED Test

I agree. Just didn't want this thread to turn into troubleshooting of my own power supply. I will keep it open in the other thread that is more for the DIY.

    Bridgelux Vero 29 LED Test

Follow up on testing of the power supply. I was using the multimeter wrong. Did not swap the red lead like I should have. Thank you world wide web. I do not mean to thread hijack as I have many more questions in regards to the power supply. I would gladly take this into PM Pico if you prefer.

    Bridgelux Vero 29 LED Test

Correct. I was referring to the voltmeter on the power supply itself. For testing with the multimeter: I used the positive and negative lead that is on the front of the device. If that is incorrect, do let me know. I was able to get the correct amp reading as it matched the reading on the power...

    Bridgelux Vero 29 LED Test

Pico- Got my HP power supply from storage today. Flipped it on and got massive fan noise. Pulled it apart and sure enough the blade was completely loose and the motor was shot. Felt like I was spinning the motor around gravel. I'm now looking into another AC fan since I can't replace it with a...

    Bridgelux Vero 29 LED Test

Picked the HP up in a blind lot. It was filled with a bunch of old school electronic equipment. It was one of the few pieces that did not have water damage. I'll pull out the multimeter and do some test with it to make sure I am getting the correct output. I unfortunately know very little about...

    Bridgelux Vero 29 LED Test

Still debating. I am thinking of dropping down to two like you. Keeping my light investment low incase the results are sub par. Running 5x5 scrog nets, would two give adequate coverage? As for driving them...almost the same as you. Just 15 amps less to play with. I have an HP 6274B. 0-60v /...

Cree CXA3050 100W Custom LED Grow Journal with Dinafem Blue Widow

I made the mistake of purchasing an ozone generator that was made for doing shock treatments. Makes 9.5 grams of ozone per hour. Commercial units usually only produce 2-4.5 grams an hour. Left it on by accident and woke up with one of the worst headaches of my life. Good going on the diy cxa...

    Bridgelux Vero 29 LED Test

Pico, I am looking at either getting 4 x Vero 29 or 4 x CXA3070 made by Cree. What I am wondering is if I need 4 total or can I live with two. I am forgoing a 600w HPS. I do not know enough about LED tech to make this kind of decision. I am only lighting a 6x6x7 area. Thoughts and or suggestions?
