Im so lost on the TDS/ppm thing. How is this done? with a meter i check the solution after ive added a quarter strength nutes then it gives me a reading? what if its to high. im just confused trying to find a good post on the basics on how to do this and the supplies I need so i can go get them.

Question. Would this essentially be the same if instead of hooking to water pump it was hooked to the air pump instead? I guess what I'm saying is I don't get how this could work with a 5 gal bucket setup with no resivior. Unless I could use it to cool the air getting to the buckets.

question? so what is the most efficient method of regulating PPm in my solution? I have individual units running between 3 and 4 gallons of water a piece...if that helps at all.
