Right on man... Was afraid of damaging them, but when I read this, decided to give it a shot... Works like a charm! So far I think this fan set up is tits... 12v/5v switching adapter( off amazon) >> phobya 4pin molex to 6 site 3 pin splitter>>5 arctic 11's. Gonna leave'em running for a while...

Hey guys... Finally got my last batch of components... Will begin the build in the next couple days, but as I was doing a configuration inspection( mental dry-run) I ran into a question... Turns out I got 5 fans with 4 pin connections and I got a multi site splitter with 3 pin connections...

Wish I would have pressed for shipping options considering that I wasn't in a hurry... Was somehow under the impression that the 40.00 rate was standard... Oh well, I live to learn!

Haven't found a source for the 240... I figured I'd just go the mouser route? When you say "the larger amount" ... I take it to mean: what I actually paid, right? Because the invoice stated the total value at 7.50$ and I paid 283.00 including shipping... It doesn't benefit me to know that I...

Just wanted you guys to know... It took a total of 6 days from order to arrival with my cxb's !!! Jerry and kingbrite are doing big thangses! Just that when reading the packaging I noticed it said " samples", may or may not perform like final production model". But my thinking is if they...

Right on... Well if that's the case... I'm gonna use the same setup myself then... I've got everything but the driver. That's good news... I'll be grabbing up that 1400 instead. Thanks guys... Not sure how, after all that reading,I didn't know that

Saw the setup you mentioned... I was leaning in that direction initially but am under the impression that the voltage cap won't allow it... The spreadsheet says 143v maximum and adding up the voltages on the cobs would land at you at 144v... I might be wrong but I think I read somewhere that...

^^ good lookin out man.... Read somewhere that some were under the impression that with the 3500k there was lack of density compared to the 3k's... Any truth to that? I like the sound of 7% !!!

Hey guys... I've acquired all the necessary components aside from the cobs and driver... Decided to go at my project in two stages - first consisting of 5 cxb3590 3000k cb 36v driven by one mean well 185h -c1050b. The total on the cobs is 180v and the driver supports 190v... Still not sure how...

Dyna-Gro vs Advanced Nutrients Connoisseur (AK47 Grow)

Single best thread on this site! I've read through it twice now in as many months and felt compelled to say , Homebrewer, the manner and professionalism in which this experiment was conducted , coupled with the focus of the comments and replies ,are on a level the likes of which are a rare find...

That's a tough one... Without knowing the total square feet you plan to provide light for. The reason for flat grows as opposed to 360 is for the ease of adjustability to the canopy . Side lighting is often times supplemental and in fixed positions because most people are limited to a confined...

Recent recommendation when asking similar question... 3 cxb3590 3500k (cb bin quoted at 43.60 for minimum 5 order yesterday) Of course the 3 arctic 11's to keep with the cost restraints and modular flexbility... 1 hlg-120h-c1400b dimmable driver or three eBay 50 watt drivers... Similar to what...

I'm by no means the best person to ask but ... 3 cxa3070 3000k on 3 arctic alpine 11 fan/heatsink combo with some 13$ eBay drivers is the defacto standard... That's 150 watts(I believe)of cost sensitive action!!! Good luck mang!

Hey guys... Lots of interesting projects coming together... I'll be glued on for all that action! Saw a post in the 3070 thread mentioning the 10w 730 nm ir leds from kiwi lighting... Real interested in the concept of putting the girls to bed faster . how many of those would be needed for a 3x3...

Hey guys... Still soaking it in. I'm not trying to re-invent the wheel, just trying to roll with it ! @Supra ... Good thing you mentioned considering my spacing. Racking my brain to try and come up with a configuration that I could run passively in a 3x3 but those alpine fan/heatsink combos are...

Hey guys... First of all, just want to say props @ supra! I've been living/lurking in your threads for the last couple weeks...I think I caught that diy bug! Went from" wtf " to "I might actually be able to pull this off" just based on these journals! Was about to buy an optics light when I...
