    LED vs H.I.D

Dennis is a stellar dude. Definitely recommend for any UV lighting needs - weather growing plants or curing UV resins :peace:

    LED vs H.I.D

Unfortunately / Fortunately Hydro stores are all but dead for the most part in Cali. No more over charging for things like LED's but also no local place to run and grab a few things. What are you spending on bulbs over a couple years in the space each led would cover?

    LED vs H.I.D

"Eye Hortilux, a division of EYE Lighting International, ceased operations in mid-2023. The company announced it would wind down due to supply chain issues, rising costs, and a shift toward LED products, which made continuing their HID lamp business unsustainable. They stopped accepting orders...

    LED vs H.I.D

But for practical sense with the state of energy costs unfortunately Metal Halide is from a Bye Gone Era. :( Trust me, I also held on till the end with HID. Hortilux throwing in the towel and stopping production of all of those lamps was the tell tale sign where the industry is headed :peace:

    Potassium Deficiency - or ?

I would investigate EC of media, not nutrient solution :peace:

    Potassium Deficiency - or ?

When I was running in coco probably the best fertilizer I used at the time was CX Hydroponics COCO A&B I actually had that mix lab tested. 7.5ml each of A&B in a Gallon of Distilled water yielded these results. Interesting the lack of Iron. They are clearly putting the iron in one of the...

    Potassium Deficiency - or ?

I am in a cool location. Temps generally 75-82 veg and Flower. Veg humidity up into the mid 60's. Flower always below 60 and sometimes dips to just below 50. Don't have a # for wind speed but the leaves all just have a light flutter to them. :peace:

    Potassium Deficiency - or ?

Exactly - salts just keep twin pushed up in the media making bad zones for the roots. Have you thought about doing a "Slurry Test" like a lot of organic growers are doing? Take a shot glass or so of your coco out of a pot at a depth where theres good root development (yes it will disturb the...

    Potassium Deficiency - or ?

To clarify, this is a bottom watering setup? If so, I'd consider a heavy top down flush to reset the nutrient profile in the media. The "butt chug" concept just keeps pushing things up in the media. Maybe you are accumulating phos/cal and other elements in the media over time and causing lockout...

    Potassium Deficiency - or ?

We are all still learning even after several decades. There is a lot of mis / dishonest info out here on nutrients. I'm still trying to unravel it all myself. One thing for sure - these plants grow well under a wide range of nutrient profiles assuming all elements are provided at a sufficient...

    Potassium Deficiency - or ?

Is that correct that you have no Sulphur? Some of the micro's look very low also. I've been running a scratch mix that looks like this. And getting growth that looks like this in aero/hydro

I was assuming you were doing drain to waste and sending the runoff down the sewer :peace:

    Height restricted hydroponic loft grow

@Blue brother being that this is a fresh build, is there any way you could incorporate drains for the trays into the floor avoiding the need for the condensate pumps? Being in a loft I would be paranoid a pump may fail and back up / overflow into the ceiling. I am currently intentionally growing...

    Toms Tumble Trimmer TTT1600

Toms Tumble Trimmer TTT1600 Good operational condition. Could use a good cleaning. 1 fitting where the handle meets the Axel has a crack, hence the hose clamp making it fully functional. New part is about $10 if it's a big concern. These sell for around $400 new. $150 shipped within the...

    Wastei's Twisted 'n Misted Girls

Have you looked into any of these new claims of pest control with specific light spectrums? Any thoughts? I see a lot of various UVC talk and just hear 505nm green to put spider mites on the run

    Wastei's Twisted 'n Misted Girls

Are you running these all the way through bloom in like a 6" square pot? :peace:

Cant figure it out (dry tips, sides, spots on leaves)

I am sitting over here scratching my head  The idea of measuring feed input and runoff output has some validity in standard nutrient solutions but you are not using a standard nutrient solution. The Advanced Liquid base products are intended to be run within a range of nutrient...

    LED vs H.I.D

This flower was grown under Hortilux Blue MH. No doubt the quality was supreme. You would need more watts of the MH to match the ppfd of HPS and especially modern LED's. Them Damn Utility Bills!!!

    LED vs H.I.D

Hortilux Blue really "Shined" as a Veg lamp. Had certain circumstance gone a different direction on a global scale I am sure the conversation would be different at this point. Just a few things I could have seen making a difference in the way tech has shifted - energy prices would have had to...
