sorry to the OP...i would never want anybody to get hurt EVER...i was just thinking out loud...maybe smoked a little...i am definitly not a certified electrician, so do listen to someone with all the correct knowledge and do what is up to your comfort level..that is what makes these forums so...

just a thought, but you could go to your local homedepo let the guy there know you just bought a electric dryer and have to install everything from the breaker to the plug Tell them you need a 30 amp dryer plug with 4 prongs on it the female end...then tell them you need the matching male end...
