    Light setup for 10'x10'

I have two 20lb tanks, might opt for a 3rd in the near future just to have another extra on hand. Winter you would have no problem running an intake/exhaust set up with no AC imo, summer it would depend on the night time temps but you may still need AC on hot nights. I run a sealed room so I...

    Light setup for 10'x10'

I’m running 24k btu for two open 1000 watt lights and a dehumidifier in a 8x12 sealed room. I live in a fairly warm environment and this gives me 100% control over temps with 95 degree weather outside if I wanted to run lights during the day.

4K btu/ 1000 watt hid air cooled 6K btu/ 1000 watt hid not air cooled Doesn’t hurt to give yourself some breathing room by getting a slightly larger system then you need.

Been using General Organics, Botanicare ect for the past 5-6 years and finally got rid of the bottle a couple grows ago. Got by with teas ,regular ro water and a couple top dresses through out. Looking at switching to beds and incorporating worms into this grow. Spent way too long in tents...

Installing mini-split, need advice on vented/sealed and co2

Thanks bro it’s a really heavy one as well! Haha. We are trying to figure out the best way to mount or hang this sucker. It will be opposite side of the room as the plants. Can I utilize the waste water from it or would it be better to just drain it outside?

Installing mini-split, need advice on vented/sealed and co2

Appreciate the info. I was just told about “charging the room” so to speak a few days ago by a friend who has been doing this a lot longer than me so it seemed like a great idea. Makes sense what you said about the stomas. I am taking a shot at the true living organics/ no till style of...

Installing mini-split, need advice on vented/sealed and co2

I’m working on getting it all dialed in since I don’t have an environment controller. No plants inside the room yet. Initially I’ll probably have to go in and adjust my AC right after lights come on and right before lights go off. Dehumidifier will stay on the same setting and kick on and off...

Installing mini-split, need advice on vented/sealed and co2

Fuck yeah, a 20lb tank costs $7 to refill here. Again I’m no scientist lol just a pot head going off of what I have read over the course of time haha.

Installing mini-split, need advice on vented/sealed and co2

I don’t know that it would be harmful to the plants unless it was insane amounts being released, and at that level it may or may not even be safe for you to be working in the room lol I’m not sure. The reason I stop at dark cycle is because CO2 will still remain in the air because it is 100%...

Installing mini-split, need advice on vented/sealed and co2

Some other food for thought, I bought my minisplit direct from the manufacturer and they gave me a free life time warranty on the unit.

Installing mini-split, need advice on vented/sealed and co2

All I needed HVAC guy for was to fill mine with refrigerant for $70 and it was ready to run. It was a pretty easy DIY project. Will say check your electrical capacity first because these things pull a lot of juice.

Installing mini-split, need advice on vented/sealed and co2

So it is my understanding, I may be wrong (someone please correct me if so), that plants in darkness, can not utilize CO2 near as efficiently as they can during light period (I’m guessing this is to do with photosynthesis). Some people I’ve talked to even go as far to say that releasing CO2...

Installing mini-split, need advice on vented/sealed and co2

Ahh yes man I got you 100%. It is an expensive endeavor for sure. I plan on having zero vents for my room. I have a 24k BTU mini split, a quest 105 dehumidifier I just got in yesterday and I’m having installed today (Thing is a beast! It runs on 4.9 amps and is capable of removing 105 pints...

Installing mini-split, need advice on vented/sealed and co2

My thought is that with venting, you would be wasting a lot of supplemental C02 and cooling with intake/exhaust. After you get the minisplit, you are half way there to having a fully sealed climate controled room/environment , why stop there? A good dehumidifier is pretty much all you will...

    Solar panel discussion

Something I failed to mention, many houses including my own do not use central air conditioning. I have an evaporative cooler/swamp cooler as my source of in home cooling. They are very efficient in hot dry areas like mine and run at a fraction of the electricity as central air conditioning...
