So I just did my first batch, did a hot water bath until there were 0 bubbles, then whipped it on low heat for 45 minutes and this is what I ended up with. It bubbles when you smoke it but it doesn't sizzle or crackle at all, is that normal?

Yes I've also read of the vac method. I think I'll just do it how you described and see how it goes
