    MOD 420 Horticulture COB Lighting

I have a drawing and have started strength testing. I'm going to get a quote this week. Evil had reached out to me asking some questions and it led to him buying one of the prototype frames I had. I think the general concensus is 1 pc is preferred. I am going to make the next order 1 pc...

    MOD 420 Horticulture COB Lighting

The "MOD" in the name is for modular, I have a link that bolts 2 or more frames together in any direction. It also holds an AC junction box so you can bolt 4 frames together and have 1 power cord to a timer.

Kinda the best of both worlds between glass and acrylic. Clearer than acrylic and more scrach resistance than glass. Plus decent weight savings. They will not fit the cutter heatsinks as far as I know, need a special bolt pattern.

I'm pulling these off ebay to help get cost down. Soon Robin will have some stock and they will be available through northerngrowlights.com to help combine some shipping costs also. In the mean time you can still DM me, new price is $50 + shipping.

I've quoted every material my supplier has that might work. Cheap acrylic .125" is the only one that is cheaper but I question the strength. I wanted so bad to do carbon fiber, cost is about 1.5x.

Thanks for your input. I wish I could make them cheaper also, might start quoting shipping instead of flat rate, could save a few bucks. I'm also going to add hardware and a hanger with no cost increase. This is still cheaper than open source 1 off's, thats why we wanted to try this out.

    MOD 420 Horticulture COB Lighting

Quick overview of build process. All holes are 4.5mm other than kohtad mounting holes. This is because the heatsinks mount with 4mm screws, 1 size screw for the whole build. Mount driver and junction box and run driver cords into junction box. You can connect the AC power cord and dimmer at...

LED Community!! lets design a LED light that anyone can put together

Whats up everyone? The MOD420 frame is a collaborative effort, Robin helped. I started with open source in mind. Problem is as mentioned here 1 off parts are very costly, I know because I had several prototypes cut to test.
