This is my first grow and it's in a 5x5 tent. I'm considering a 1000w DE digital ballast, 1000w HPS bulb, and an air cooled enclosed reflector. Is this an efficient kit? What brands are recommended. I am willing to pay more for better products, within reason. Any advice is appreciated.

Ok. I appreciate the advice. I'll run my 1500w space heater for 12h and feel the outlet for heat. I'd imagine that would be a decent indicator for if it's overloading the outlet.

The circuit is labeled as 20A. So 80% of that is 16A safe usage, which is what i used in my calculations. Are you saying that I would want to limit my usage on a single outlet to 9amps?

the breaker box says 20A, its in my home. i'm assuming its 120v *edit I'm not sure what the sockets are rated but i've run my 1500w space heater on a socket for 12h with no issues. you're saying they wear out with the constant usage? i'm assuming its a fairly non-invasive repair?
