Thanks. @pop22 Not sure if we understood eachother. I said i would run 4 boards with HLG-185H-C1050 for one plant over around 2x2. That is not 500mA, it's at 1050mA and higly efficient as you said. Is that right?

By what you posted @pop22 it says 47 volts at 1050mA which comes to 188V for 4 boards. And the driver has max output of 190V. Why would you think it's not an effective level to run boards at? @captainmorgan What do you mean by that? Are counterfeit boards much worse? Is voltage on them lower...

Does anybody have experience with Kingbrite's 288 QBs? I can get some HLG-185H-C1050s rly cheap and was thinking of running 4 of those boards per driver. Should be super efficient in theory.

Thank you @Moflow. I was also thinking about HLG-185H-48 but a friend maybe has a few of the 1050As laying around. This build by far looks like the most efficient one to me but i am scared of running them without heat sinks. All in all looks much better to me thank COBs, but i may be mistaken.

I also used 'naked' COBs without lenses or reflectors and i had decent results. Now that I am thinking about growing again i just thought from what I've seen that QBs are a bit more efficient and yet cheaper. And this time around i don't mind skipping all the DIY stuff.
