Samsung H series strips, Arrow seems to be blowing them out! what a deal!

oh yeah these. I usually drill a few holes to mount it nicely. But yeah, not ideal.

Nice find on the promo codes. That one expired, but I used 12OFF, and got... 12%... off. Grabbed a few of these VLM60W/48V for $3.83 for 60W, no dimmer, two prong input. 93% efficient. These Autecs constant current 590mA too... $8 for 60W, dimmer, three prong input. 92% efficient...

I think it's probably an EU requirement that you're a company. Haven't seen it myself for arrow. Sometimes validation allows '0' for vat number on some websites I've used, because not all companies claim VAT, but it might not be optional in your country

Q series are surprisingly floppy plastic things. I wouldn't even try use them without a heatsink, imo.

I picked up 12 of those LG Innoteks (the 550mA CC ones, PISE-Z101B, to drive some strips) while they were $8.21 each. They had the highest efficiency of the bunch, at 93%. Stupid cheap for 150W. But yes, seems like the sale is over for now. The prices and minimum quantities just jumped...

I'm gonna make some clone lights with these 40W VLMs. Great deal for 93% efficient drivers. https://www.arrow.com/en/products/vlm40w-48/energy-recovery-products-erp

MW XLG-240-H-AB with only one QB?

You can add a panel in parallel, and it'll divide the current in half, which will more or less halve the temperature.

MW XLG-240-H-AB with only one QB?

Should be ok. Output voltage Range is 27-54V I think. Most QBs are 48V

So far, so good, for me. About 3 months in and no problems from about 20 drivers in use, at 90% load. They don't have any rated life span, but the MTBF (mean time before failure) of 700k hours means it should probably last at least as long as Mean Well XLG or HLG, which have the same. The...

After setting to 20W per strip, the H series is 175lm/W compared to 161lm/W for the influx L09. Nice calculator. Interesting. Much closer efficiency than I expected.

Just note that their efficiency is in the 120lm/W range. That's pretty abysmal compared to 190lm/W H-strip range.

Interesting. I got this one. I see it says Revision 00, and yours says Revision 01. I wonder why yours has the 200W on it, and what the difference is, between revisions. A mystery.

Hmm where does it say "200 watt driver"? So it's supposed to have overvoltage and overcurrent and overtemperature protection. I'm not sure how Delta does it, but Mean Well will run until it's getting too hot, and then it beeps at me and turns off. So yeah you can push it above rated max if...

Ideally you use a watt meter. Then you can set V0 to something sensible, with I0 at max. Then you've set max current (by setting V0), and can go wild with I0.

V0 sets the voltage (max current), so clockwise full will be setting the voltage to 27V. Then you can tune from about 10% to 100% of V0 with I0. so if you wanted to limit the driver to 185W, you'd set V0 first. Then I0 would only range up to 185W.

I see it often with CV drivers in general. The circuitry is only limiting the voltage. But the IV curve is from the LEDs. So at max, you've got 27V, and it will pull whatever current that corresponds to. The overcurrent protection should shut it down though if you leave it like that. I...

I got the WDAA type. Attached an external pot. Looks like WAAA type has two internal pots: V0 dimmer to set the max, and I0 dimmer.

Started putting together some lights with the Deltas, and I've noticed one difference compared to Mean Well so far. Two COBs, 51V, on Delta 150W 54V, and at very low dim there's flicker. Maybe Mean Well flickers too for some drivers, but I just haven't come across it. HLGs only do 10-100% so...

Thanks for posting. Grabbed a few while still $12. But wow, I barely managed to check out. Arrow needs a few more gigabytes of RAM or something. Felt like dial-up days.
