You can drop your input pH down to equalise your medium pH but I wouldn't do it so significantly. Now you're at 6 run off I would water my next watering with 5.8 and test run off after that. Sounds like a lot of watering. You'd do better to get a reservoir and a dripper system.

Yeah you want to be between 5.5-6.5 for hydro. In rockwool I keep it between 5.8 and 6.1 maybe 6.2 right at the end. You get extra airation with the croutons you're using but still be mindful not to overwater.

The only way I could get them cubes to work was to wet them and then leave them on a few layers of paper towels to get the moisture back out. Now that I know grodan doesn't need to be pre soaked I would just dunk them up to halfway and leave the top dry completely. I feel like root riot cubes...

Hey thanks for that I didn't realise that's why it happened. Ive read that with some pinching and bending you can get them to even out, which should be good enough for my purposes. :)

Outta the pack they're moist and spongy and fine for me! Shouldn't have any issues. If they dry out I put them in a lunchbox full of room temp water for a couple hours and once they're spongy and soft they're good to go.

Clones don't have equal spacing between the nodes. Ive heard that's the usual technique but is there actually a reason or will a few extra nodes and inches of stem cause any issues?

Ive got 8 girls who have stretched lots in places and the nodes are fairly uneven. I know I'll have a lot of wasted stem, but would it be alright to just top when the next node forms? The growth ive got at the top is the most closest together, so I'd have to also strip all the growth below too...

Don't use a scourer or anything abrasive you don't wanna scratch the plastic up just use soft cloths and pipe cleaners

You need to disassemble the pump if you can and clean that thoroughly and also the sprayer jets too with pipe cleaners and soak as you suggest after.

I'm pretty sure ive seen some home THC test kits although im not sure on price or accuracy. You're probably not gonna get exactly what is suggested, but that's probably to be expected. Would love to see some lab tests im sure they're out there

I tried a "zero water" filter and was getting 1ppm water from it. You can make shift a big bin or bucket and attach a few of those filters with a thread to the bottom, and you have a cheap RO machine. Could be worth a go.
