tacticalcustoms Active Member Mar 3, 2008 #7 I work for the power company and can help you guys outs in this matter.. we bill in KWH.. for instance I'll use .075 as our base KWH charge 1000 Watts x (how many hours used in a day) 18HR/ x (how many days in a month) 31 = 558000/ 1000 = 558 I divided by 1000 cause thats what is equal to 1 KWH. so I take 558 x (KWH rate) 0.075 = $41.85 a month.. thats just for one 1000 watt bulb running 18 hrs a day for 31 days... hope this helps guys and 1.5 cents per KWH is incredible deal most people pay in the range of 5+ cents per KWH which is also including delivery charge.
