Hi guys I know it a stupid thing to ask but I've been using 2 400hps magnetic ballast which was killing me on electricity. I wanted to use a 1000watt can I fit 10 trees... Any 1 got an average of yeild I'm looking for 500g is this possible

Hey man are you using the whole 4mx4m and running 2 400w hps over that? If so i would say thats highly under powered. I use 2x 600w hps for 1.5mx1.5m if thats any relevance. Id be buying 2 or 3 1000w and putting them in there aswell. With sufficient lighting you should easily pull 3+ pounds. An expert hopefully chime in and give a more thorough input. Good luck

You can grow 500g with that 1000w, But I would work on trying to get that out of like 4 plants right under the light in a 1.25mx1.25m floor space.
You would need at least 4 of them to properly light your whole room.

Time for me is the issue I wanted to veg 4-5 weeks but train the plant
Ahh ok. Then just take those 10 and keep them close together under the 1000w. Support them with the stakes in their pots so you can move them around to work with them and rotate them around under the light. If youre wanting that short of a veg, they wont outgrow that size space anyway.

I cram 12 plants into a 5ftx5ft with 1 top and some training they get quite big quickly.
These are 8 weeks from when I cut them from their mother.

Wait a minute here... you're running two 400W lamps (total of 800W) and complain about electricity costs, so you want to move to a 1000W instead?

I fail to see the logic in this.

From personal experience think I can get that 500g a crop

Could you? yes.
Will you? maybe, maybe not.
The space, time, and plant count is certainly capable of doing that under a 1000w, but most of that is going to be on you to get a strong start with your seedlings or clones and giving the plants what they want.

Really appreciate that thanks

I run that just for veg and pick the best 3 from each side (usually veg 6 of 2 strains) to go to the flower tent. I grow them out fairly big.
Couple pics from earlier. These are the 6 plants from the left half of the tent in the last picture I posted. The right side ended up being from a male because I had a brain fart.
