In other news, I hiked a trail yesterday that had 1300 ft in elevation gain in the first 1 mile. We’re talking 54% grade at points. More like rock climbing than hiking!! My legs feel it today

I have a 26 mile backpacking trip planned for May, and I’ve been thinking about doing like a quick 10 mile overnighter in the California Condor Preserve in the Sespe Wilderness. Pretty cool area with some awesome hot springs
