Yes, you end up with a smaller yield (because the plants dont get very big).
But, at the cost of smaller yield you end up with shorter harvest periods. Of course if you go the perpetual route, you can therorectically harvest every 30 days.
Example. Lets say you start 4 plants. But you have room for 8. You start with 4 plants, and about 3 weeks in (clone or seed), you should give 4 new plants a good veg week. At day 30, you introduce the new plants. 30 days later you harvest your original 4, and add 4 new ones. Voila, you now have a small harvest every 30 days.
Granted you might only end up yielding like 5 grams a plant x4 = 20 grams in 30 days. But if you do that process over the standard veg and flower cycle of 90 days, the end result is 60 grams.
Which isnt all that bad for some smokers who only need a gram a day.
Most of the time, atleast in micro grows like these, the end yield result is almost the same. 1 big plant over 90 days, vs lots of little plants every 30.
