Would x3 600wat hps lights be to much in a DR150 (150cm w x 150cm d x 200cm tent) for 6 plants in 25 liter pots?

what do u guys think?

3x600's in a 5x5' footprint is overkill like a mofo and unless you've got them all in cooltubes and a shitton of ventilation...you are going to have heat problems...i'd go with a single 1000watt instead :)

Well my man was gonna go with 2 600 wats, but now he wants 3 600 wats. I don't think he's brought cooltubes ether. :wall:

what about an air conditioner... will that be enough to keep temps down?

do u think this setup will produce some good bud though? we are getting critical mass clones.

It should produce some good yields though? plan to grow critical mass.
Well yeah its gonna grow shit like a banshee...you might need to air condition it...if you are not using cooltubes or air cooled glass covered hoods, don't attempt it...an air conditioner might do the trick, but still man...the space is really small for that amount of light...its like trying to put a 400watt HPS in a PC case :D

What season are you in and what temps are you getting outside? My tent is 1.2 x 2.4 x 2 and using cool tubes (same wattage) but I just had to take cool tubes out as ambient temp was down to 62 degrees with lights on and fan at half speed. Ya might get away with it during the winter months and a decent 6" extractor (passive inlet direct from outside)but ya better sort ya shit out for the summer.

have u seen secret jardin DR150 tents? they are pretty large inside I must admit, but I agree we could probably do with a 2meter by 2 meter tent for 3 lights.

Mine is 1.2 x 2.4 foot print (pretty much the same as yours.... ish )and it is doable in the winter. Cool tubes are only £30 each. Summer months, different story. 2 extractors, cool tubes and a/c keeps me at 75 degrees. Oh and you also need your own nuclear power station to run it all.:-P

Well we are gonna have one 5 inch fan for air in and a 6 inch for air out so there shouldn't be any hot air left in the tent. Not using cooltubes but if the temps get to much i guess my mate will learn his lesson.

The size of the fan is not a good indicator of how much air it pulls...it could be a 50cfm 6" fan which would not move enough air ;)

I don't use an inlet fan, the 6" ruck fan pulls about 750 m/3 per hour thus creating massive negative pressure and a decent passive supply of fresh air ducted from outside. Not wanting to teach you to suck eggs but make sure inlet is down low and extraction is up high.a couple of oscilating fans also to spread the cool air before it gets sucked out again.
